Police appeal for witnesses after shooting last night

Detectives in Merseyside are continuing to appeal for witnesses following an injury shooting in Norris Green yesterday.

The 30 year-old man who self-presented at hospital with a gunshot wound to his torso today remains in a serious but stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The incident is believed to be a targeted attack.

A number of warrants were executed a properties in the L4 and L11 areas overnight and an investigation remains ongoing. High visibility patrols have also been stepped up in the local area and house-to-house and CCTV enquiries are ongoing.
