Police appeal for witnesses after serious collision in Westhoughton
Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in Westhoughton, which has left a 39-year-old man with life threatening injuries.
Around 1.15am on Monday 17th April 2017, police were called to Southfield Drive, Westhoughton following reports that a Ford Fiesta had collided with a tree.
Officers attended and discovered the driver of the vehicle had sustained multiple fractures to his left leg, pelvis, ribs and jaw.
He also suffered internal bleeding, which medical staff have deemed as potentially life threatening.
The 43-year-old passenger of the vehicle suffered a broken wrist.
Both men were taken to hospital, where the driver remains in a critical condition.
