Watch: We talk to Bellew after weekend's explosive match

Tony Bellew shocked the boxing world on Saturday evening by beating his arch rival David Haye in a dramatic fight at London's O2 Arena.

The Bomber won in the eleventh round after Haye's corner threw the towel in. Haye suffered an achilles injury in the sixth round, but Bellew was more than matching the Londoner in the early stages.

Less than 24 hours after one of the biggest fights of his career, Bellew sat down with Granada Reports at his home. He said the game plan worked.

Many commentators had predicted an early stoppage in favour of Haye. This was Bellew's first professional outing at heavyweight, and despite taking a number of punches early on, he battled through, with all of the judges marking the Liverpudlian up on their scorecards.

On Sunday evening, the bruises and bumps illustrated the sort of battle that took place in the ring at the O2 Arena the night before. Bellew described his opponent as one of the toughest punchers he's ever faced.

There was talk of a potential rematch at Goodison Park after the fight, but the 34-year-old declined to be drawn on who his next opponent would be.

This victory will likely be remembered as the finest of his career, but he said that for him, in securing his family's financial future he had achieved his final ambition.
