Karen Danczuk says she wants to become a Labour MP

Karen Danczuk has revealed she wants to become a Labour MP.

The former wife of Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk said she wanted her voice to be heard.

Ms Danczuk, who served as a councillor in Rochdale for three years, told the BBC:

The would-be MP, who waived her right to anonymity when her older brother Michael Burke was found guilty of raping her, also said that having sex education earlier in life could have helped her avoid being abused.
