Hollyoaks star channels her 'inner Beyonce' in bump photoshoot

Pregnant Hollyoaks character Myra McQueen has channeled her ‘hero’ Beyonce by replicating the iconic image used to announce that Queen Bey is expecting twins.

Beyonce fan Myra, played by Warrington actress Nicole Barber-Lane, is thrilled to be ‘bump buddies’ with Beyonce and feels that she has a connection with the pop superstar because they are both pregnant.

Myra, like Bey, shows off her growing bump in an ethereal shot, wearing a veil while surrounded by flowers. But unlike the Crazy In Love hitmaker she refrained from wearing just her bra and knickers, instead choosing to wear a casual but striking get-up of a pink cardigan, floral sports top and clashing monochrome patterned leggings.

A Hollyoaks spokeswoman said:

Myra’s baby, her eighth, is due within days.

Earlier in the pregnancy she had pretended to be pregnant with octuplets to secure a lucrative TV and press deal but it was exposed as a scam. The father is her toyboy, Diego Salvador Martinez Hernandez De La Cruz, who she met in Alicante.

Beyonce, 35, announced she is expecting twins with her husband Jay Z in an Instagram post on Wednesday, saying: ‘We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes - The Carters’.

Her choice of pink and blue underwear led fans to speculate she’s expecting a boy and a girl.
