Police 'increasingly concerned' for missing man, 79
Greater Manchester Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for a pensioner who's gone missing after leaving his home to go for a walk.
Alan Wood, 79, was last seen in Moston at around 2.30pm on Thursday 29 December 2016.
Police have been using a helicopter and dogs, in addition to officers making door-to-door enquiries.
They have now shifted the focus of their search to the Chorlton area, where Mr Wood often goes to use the town centre shops and pubs.
Mr Wood has dementia but is described as being physically fit and often goes out walking for several hours.
However, it is out of character for him not to return home after such a long period of time.
He is described as white and of slim build with short thinning brown hair and stubble.
He was wearing a black quilted jacket with blue pants and was carrying a white bag.
