Family's Christmas terror
Three men hurled rocks through a window while a man and his mum were relaxing in their living room during the early hours of Boxing Day.
The attack happened on Webster Street, Mossley, in the early hours of the morning on Boxing Day.
Joe Furness, 21, was in the front room with his mother Isabel, 55, when they heard loud bangs outside the house, just before 1am.
But when Joe went to look out of the window a huge slab of concrete was launched at the window.
The stone smashed through the glass and landed on the sofa, just next to where Isabel was sitting. The men then ran away from the scene.
Joe then noticed the yobs smashed the front and back windows of a Rover 75 belonging to the family.
The men did not steal anything and luckily the family did not suffer any injuries.
Police have since launched an investigation and are hoping to review CCTV footage captured from a neighbour’s house.
It is believed three men were involved in the incident.
