Bar promoter who didn't know she was pregnant, brings baby home for Christmas

A bar promoter who gave birth in a Majorcan holiday resort after having no idea she was pregnant has brought her little girl home in time for Christmas.

Lindsey Howe, 23, from Blackley spent her summer partying away in Magaluf – oblivious to the fact she had a baby on the way.

But one morning, Lindsey woke up with severe stomach pain and went to see a doctor. It was only then that medics explained the pains were actually contractions and that she was 31 weeks pregnant, she gave birth to baby Hope in Palma on October 1st.

However, tiny Hope was nine weeks premature, weighing less than 3lb, and taken immediately to a neonatal unit and placed in an incubator.

As Hope started to get stronger last month, all Lindsey could think about was getting her back to Blackley in time for Christmas. Lindsey was devastated when on December 1st, Hope failed her medical flight test to make the journey home.

Lindsey managed to persuade doctors to take the tests again and on December 3, she was able to fly home with her new baby.
