'No suspicious circumstances' after Urmston death, police say

Police are no longer investigating after the body of a man was discovered in Urmston, Greater Manchester.

Emergency services were called to a property on Manor Avenue shortly after 6.40pm on Thursday, and discovered the body of a man.

Police launched an investigation but a Home Office post-mortem examination concluded there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

A 62-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.

Detective Sergeant Rachel Smith of GMP’s Trafford borough, said: “I’d like to thank the public for their help as we have conducted our enquiries.

“Our thoughts remain with the man’s family as they come to terms with their loss.”
