Murder investigation in Altrincham after man dies

Police have started a murder investigation after the death of a man in Altrincham after a brawl outside a lap dancing club.

Officers say they were called to a fight of about 10 men in the early hours of this morning, at around 2.40am, on The Causeway.

When officers got to the scene they found a 31-year-old man with serious head injuries. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
