Hit and run leaves 70-year-old man dead
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in Royton.
Shortly before 11pm on Thursday 8 December 2016, a man in his 70s was found with serious injuries on Sandy Lane, outside the Brass Band Club.
He was taken to hospital where he sadly died.
Police have launched an investigation and believe the man may have been involved in a collision where the driver failed to stop, shortly before he was found.
A post mortem and formal identification are due to take place.
