Rays of Sunshine Wish Choir

A nine-year-old from Whitworth, Lancashire joined pop star and X Factor judge, Nicole Scherzinger for a rendition of Ain’t no Mountain High Enough at last night's The Rays of Sunshine Concert at The SSE Arena, Wembley.

Ella Chadwick is part of the Rays of Sunshine Wish Choir, a group of 14 brave and inspirational seriously ill children who have all had their wishes granted by the charity that grants wishes for children living with serious of life-limiting illness, across the UK.

Ella was born with Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome, a rare condition of the kidneys which resulted in her needing a Kidney transplant at a very young age. Despite what she has been through, Ella is a very confident and joyful little girl who loves to sing as well as the X Factor Rays of Sunshine granted the nine-year-old’s greatest wish to sing ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ to Simon Cowell at the X Factor.

Shawn Mendes also shared the stage with DNCE who rocked the stage with their huge hit Cake by the Ocean.

Also performing were Fleur East, Conor Maynard, Louisa Johnson, Lawson and James TW.

The event was hosted by Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity which grants wishes to seriously ill children across the UK and supported by leading energy company SSE in a new two year partnership. SSE’s support of event enabled the charity to offer 2,000 complimentary tickets to seriously ill children who have previously had wishes granted.
