A mum who transformed her bungalow into a spectacular £2.5m mansion has welcomed a wealth of celebrities to her home to film pop videos and run photoshoots.

Ashcroft House has hosted personalities including Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington and Emmerdale stars Kelvin Fletcher and Chris Bisson since owner Deborah Hill opened her home up to film crews.

The state-of-the-art family home, in Saddleworth, has even been used by pop starlets Little Mix as the location for their hit video Hair.

Mum-of-two Deborah was so proud after designing the property from scratch that she hired a location agent.

But she never expected that she would one day be welcoming 12-year-old daughter Grace’s favourite band Little Mix into their home.

Deborah said the girl group spent 21 hours shooting the video at the house in Grasscroft last March and were ‘patient and professional’ throughout.

She said:

Deborah’s renovation project of her home started when she first bought the bungalow for £650,000 a decade ago.

The interior designer, 46, was battling bowel cancer at the time but managed to complete the mammoth project within 30-months.

The distinctive six-bedroom house - also home to Grace, 12, and George, 14 - includes a snooker room, sun terrace, koi carp pond and panoramic views of Saddleworth.

Former art student Deborah took inspiration from Italian and French villas as well as Oldham’s industrial heritage.

She said:

The family are now looking to downsize and Deborah has put Ashcroft House on the market for £2.5million.
