Stabbing in Liverpool takeaway leaves man hospitalised
Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed during an altercation in a takeaway shop in Liverpool on Saturday night.
The victim, who is a 27-year-old man, suffered an injury to his neck after being assaulted in Lazy kebab house on West Derby Road in Tuebrook at 6.45pm.
It is believed he had become involved in an argument with a man with a dog inside the shop when a third man arrived on a bike and assaulted him with a knife.
Following the attack the offender cycled away from the shop and the man with the dog also left the scene.
The victim was given First Aid by customers and staff and then by police officers until paramedics arrived.
He was taken to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital for treatment. His condition is described as serious but stable.
An extensive investigation led by detectives at St Anne Street CID is being carried out to identify and arrest the victim's attacker.
