Family tribute to teen who died after air gun accident

The family of a teenager who died after suffering a head injury at his home in Billinge on Sunday, September 4, have paid tribute to him.

Jake Berry, 19, died in hospital on Wednesday, September 7, following the incident at his home in London Fields.

The matter has been referred to the coroner.

In a statement released by the family they said:

The teenager was left fighting for his life after what is thought to have been a freak accident with an air gun.

Detectives, who cordoned off the scene as they launched an investigation, are not looking for anyone in connection with the incident.
