Police arrest three in connection with Clifton shooting
Police investigating the shooting of a 65-year-old woman in Salford have made three arrests.
At around 5.20pm on Friday, September 2, police were called to Billy Lane, Clifton, to reports of a shooting.
Officers attended and found that a 65-year-old woman had suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and was taken to hospital for treatment where she remains in a stable condition.
An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.
Yesterday - Tuesday, September 6 - police officers executed a number of warrants at properties in Salford area and a 23-year old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been bailed pending further enquires.
Another 23-year-old-man and an 18-year-old man have also been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in police custody for questioning.
