Several Twitter users who share a name with Olympic gold medallist Jason Kenny have been congratulated as fans mix up social media accounts.

Kenny scooped a gold medal in the men's sprint final, securing his fifth Olympic gold.

Hundreds of messages intended for the Bolton cyclist were sent to other Twitter users with similar names, including a Canadian politician, much to their amusement.
