A further two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was shot in Harpurhey.
At around 11.20pm on Sunday, August 7, police were called to several reports of a shooting at a takeaway on Rochdale Road, Harpurhey.
Officers attended and a 27-year-old man was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds to his leg and torso. He underwent surgery for his injuries and is now in a stable condition.
A 21 year-old man and a 26 year-old man both from Harpurhey, have been arrested today in Portland Walk in Harpurhey on suspicion of attempted murder.
They are now in police custody.
Two other men were arrested in connection with this incident and bailed pending further enquiries.
