Tragic schoolboy killed on M56 named as Jaiden Gill, 9
This is the first picture of a tragic schoolboy killed in a horror smash just off the M56.
Nine-year-old Jaiden Gill, from Benchill, Wythenshawe, was travelling with his dad and brother in a blue Ford Focus when the car overturned close to Hapsford Services, near Chester, on Sunday.
The youngster, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jaiden’s 15-year-old brother and dad, 42, both remain in hospital following the collision.
A family member said that it was lucky all three were not killed in the crash.
They said Jaiden’s mum and partner had been left absolutely distraught by the tragedy.
Hundreds of people have paid tribute to the youngster on social media sites after news of the tragedy broke.
The family were travelling on the A5117, close to Hapsford Services, near Chester, when the tragedy happened.
Emergency services were called to the collision, close to junction 14 of the M56, just before 4pm.
Cheshire Police are now appealing for any witnesses or anybody with further information to get in touch.
Images shared on social media sites show the dark blue car overturned at Hapsford Interchange surrounded by police vehicles.
