Vote on the future of mental health ward in Cumbria

The future of a mental health unit in Kendal will be decided later.

The Kentmere Ward at Westmorland General Hospital was due to close, after the Care Quality Commission raised concerns over safety.

The Trust later backtracked and delayed closure to allow a fuller assessment to take place.

The board will vote later on whether the ward should remain open.
