Video shows woman attempting to frame bouncer
This is the moment a woman in a city centre bar asked her friend to punch her - and then told police she had been assaulted by the bouncer.
The 20-year-old reveller had gone into Sugar Buddha on Deansgate Locks on Friday night and decided to have a cigarette in the smoking area in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Footage shows her trying to take a table outside but is stopped by the door supervisor.
He guides her back inside with the table, while holding her arm.
She and her friend are then seen arguing with the door supervisor and eventually go and sit back down inside the bar.
But clearly dissatisfied with not being allowed to take the table outside, she asks her friend to punch her in the arm to blame it on the door supervisor.
The woman then headed straight to police officers stating she had been assaulted by the bouncer.
Police decided to view the CCTV footage and fined the woman £90 for wasting police time.
