Police launch investigation after treble stabbing

Police in Merseyside have launched an investigation after three men were found with stab injuries outside a petrol station in West Derby late last night.

Officers were called to the incident by paramedics at around midnight and on arrival at Larkhill filling station on Queens Drive found three men being treated for injuries to their upper bodies.

All three were taken to hospitals in Merseyside for emergency treatment. Two men aged 23 and 26 are on a recovery ward this morning. One man aged 42 is undergoing further surgery today.

Detectives are treating the incident as a targeted attack and are appealing for witnesses. In particular they want to hear from anyone who saw a silver Ford Focus Titanium being driven away from the scene.
