Amir Khan spends £100,000 on daughter's birthday party

Boxer Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom Khan spent £100,000 on their daughter Lamaisah's second birthday party.

The celebrations for 250 guests took Mrs Khan three months to plan and included Disney princesses, Peppa Pig and a real-life ballerina.

The party, held at the home of Khan's beloved Bolton Wanderers football club, also featured a giant cake and a carousel.

During an exclusive interview with Hello! magazine, the 29-year-old talked about his daughter's big day.

Mrs Khan said:

The 24-year-old from New York also revealed that she is happier after adjusting to the UK following the couple's wedding in 2013.

Mrs Khan said parenthood has changed her sportsman husband and brought them closer together.

Khan has been involved in a number of aid ventures, including giving his time to help refugees.

The Bolton-born boxer plans to take up full-time work with his charity, the Amir Khan Foundation, when he retires from sport in a few years.
