Police appealling for witnesses after Deansgate stabbing

This is the latest footage from Deansgate, Manchester, after two men were stabbed in the early hours of this morning.

A man is fighting for his life in hospital and another suffered serious injuries following a stabbing in the city centre.

Police believe fighting broke out outside the Press Club, off Deansgate, just before 4.35am on Monday morning.

Two men were discovered suffering with stab wounds and it is understood the rest of the group made off before police arrived.

One man, aged 29-years-old, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

He was left with stab wounds to the abdomen.

The second man, aged 26-years-old, is being treated in hospital for a serious stab wound to the arm.

Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Deansgate remains closed off from John Dalton Street to Lloyd Street while police continue to investigate.
