A former world sidecar champion will return to the Isle of Man next week to talk about his experiences in motorsport.

Stan Dibben, who won the World Sidecar Championship in 1953, will speak at the Manx Museum, Douglas at 11am on 2 June.

The event will include a screening of ‘No Ordinary Passenger’ followed by a talk on his career, including his work on Donald Campbell’s World Land Speed Record in ‘Bluebird’.

Now in his 80s, Stan is recognised as being a well-respected sidecar racer, being one of many who travelled up to 95 mph on one-wheeled vehicles bolted onto motorbikes.

Also, for the first time, ITV’s coverage of the TT will feature on the Manx Museum Big Screen at 3pm daily.
