Man has been arrested after woman was stabbed in Hyde
Police were called to the Sportsman Pub, on Mottram Road in Hyde and found a 26-year-old woman with a stab wound to the chest. She was taken to hospital and was later discharged after being treated for her injuries.
A man was spotted a short while later pouring petrol into the front door of a property on Lumn Road and a vehicle was also set alight outside the property.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault. He was detained by officers at the scene and arrested before being taken to Stepping Hill Hospital.
During the second incident a police dog was set on fire and his fur was singed but is not seriously injured.
