Man exposes himself and follows woman in Nelson

Police are appealing for information after a man exposed himself to a woman sat in her car in Nelson.

On Wednesday 23 March at around 8.55pm, the victim, a 52-year-old woman from Preston, had taken a wrong turn off the M65 and is thought to have stopped in a layby, possibly on Barrowford Road.

A dark coloured car has pulled up behind her and two men have got out and approached the back of her vehicle.

One of the men has then gone up to the driver’s window, pulled his pants down and started touching himself inappropriately whilst laughing and making comments.

The woman has then sped off towards the M65 followed by the offender and his accomplice in the Audi who tried to force her vehicle off the road. They eventually came to a stop and the woman managed to get away.

PC Dave Senior said:

The offender is described as a white male, around 5ft 10ins, of medium build and was wearing a dark blue bomber jacket with dark blue jeans.
