Wirral robbery: Police release picture of man they want to speak to

Police in Wirral have released CCTV pictures of a man who may be able to help with their enquiries following a robbery in New Ferry.

The incident took place on Tuesday at the New Ferry News and Booze store on New Ferry Road.

At around 6.45am, a man entered the store and threatened a female member of staff while holding a knife, demanding cash. He took a quantity of tobacco and cigarettes before leaving the scene on foot.

The member of staff was not injured during the incident but was left extremely distressed.
