Police hunt man who attacked bus driver
Merseyside Police has issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to after a bus driver was assaulted in Kirkdale.
The incident took place on the Arriva 52A service at around 10.10pm on Friday 5 February at the junction with Stanley Road and Scotland Road.
A passenger assaulted the 52 year-old male driver after becoming angry when he refused to stop at a closed bus stop. The vehicle was moving when this happened and the driver braked suddenly and as a result an elderly lady fell.
It is believed the male passenger was picked up on Sir Thomas Street in the city centre.
Officers have released an image of a man they believe could help them with their enquiries.
