Man arrested on suspicion of murder after woman's body found in Bury
Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman's body was found at a house in Bury this morning.
The body of a 36-year-old woman was found by police after they received a "concern for welfare" call shortly before 7:50am.
Following a short search of the nearby area, a 39-year-old man was arrested on the hard shoulder of the M60 motorway on suspicion of murder.
He remains in custody for questioning.
This is believed to be an isolated incident with no wider threat to the public.
