Isle of Man unemployment for January at its lowest since 2012
The rate of unemployment in the Isle of Man is at its lowest record for January since 2012.
873 persons were registered as unemployed at the end of January, an increase of 12 from December 2015.
When compared to January last year, it is a decrease of 100 persons - the lowest January figure since 2012.
223 persons signed on to the unemployment register during the month and 211 left. 30% of the long term unemployed are within the 20–29 age bracket.
At the end of January, 492 positions were still vacant at the Job Centre; of these 79% were full-time positions (388) and 21% part-time (104).
