Kieran McGrath was found collapsed outside Ashton police station on Manchester Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, last October.
The 26-year-old from Clayton had been shot outside the nearby Sheldon Arms pub.
Prosecutor Nicholas Johnson QC has started his opening address.
He told the jurors Kieran McGrath was gunned down as he walked out of the Sheldon Arms pub in Ashton-under-Lyne at 10.20pm on October 4, 2014, with a friend David Baker.
Mr Johnson has told the jurors:
Mr McGrath managed to drive to Ashton police station nearby and parked the Audi on the pavement outside the front entrance, the court is told.
Mr Johnson said:
About half-an-hour before Mr McGrath left the pub, the gunman had arrived as a pillion passenger on a Suzuki motorbike, the jurors were told.
Prosecutor, Mr Johnson has told the court that someone had planted a tracker device on Mr McGrath’s Audi, allowing him to be located.
The Crown allege that the gunman was the defendant Remi Adams and the driver was another defendant Jace Smith.
The trial continues.
