Gary Barlow stuns audience of his musical 'The Girls' by joining cast on stage for surprise performance
Pop superstar Gary Barlow stunned fans at the Lowry Theatre when he stepped out to join the cast of his musical The Girls.
The Take That singer -songwriter wowed the audience at the show – based on the hit play and film Calendar Girls about the Yorkshire ladies who made a nude calendar for charity – by joining the rest of the cast to sing the rousing final number Dare.

The theatre erupted into cheers when the he walked out on to the stage for a one-off performance at the end of the show with the rest of the ensemble and the original Calendar Girls.The musical, which Gary penned with his playwright friend Tim Firth, opened at the Lowry on Friday.
The pair are now hoping that the show can head to the West End.
The Girls will run at the Lowry Theatre until Saturday January 30 following its opening at the Leeds Grand Theatre in November.
