Manchester Christmas Markets goes world-wide with Google Street view on its final weekend
The world-famous Manchester Christmas Markets have spread across the globe with a first-of-its-kind Google Street View service.
The popular internet mapping tool has featured some of the world’s most famous landmarks, but the bar has now been raised with another Manchester first as the Albert Square site is digitised for armchair tourists who prefer to see the sights online.
The Street View, which has gone live today, will celebrate the final weekend of the markets, allowing visitors to relive their experience and give those that didn’t make it along to the award-wining attraction the chance to see what they missed.
The Google street view is now available online enabling visitors to journey directly from the street view of Manchester city centre, seamlessly in to the Albert Square Christmas Market site as a virtual tour.
If you couldn’t attend this year or live at the North Pole, just Google search ‘Manchester Christmas Markets’ and click ‘See inside’ for your adventure to begin. Don’t forget, as always, you can leave helpful reviews, plan your journey and share your photo-memories easily using your smart device.
