Lancashire Police are asking people to leave their homes in St Michael's on Wyre, where a severe flood warning is in place after more heavy rain overnight.

There was widespread flooding in the village earlier in the week. Police say the situation poses a potential risk to life. They are urging people in up to 50 properties in the village to evacuate the buildings. More than 40 officers are in position to help if flood defences are breached again this morning.
