Police talk down suspect from vicarage roof
A man wanted by police climbed onto the roof of a vicarage in Liverpool in an attempt to avoid arrest. Officers had been trying to speak to him about "recent offences" when he made off on foot and climbed onto the building on Lorenzo Drive in Norris Green.
The road was cordoned off by police at about 10.15 last night as officers tried to persuade the man to come down. The fire service and ambulance service were put on standby because of the height of the roof.
Officers eventually talked him down at 12.40 a.m. He was arrested and is being held at a police station in Liverpool.
