Family pay tribute to jogger after road death in Bamber Bridge

The family of a jogger who died in a road accident in Bamber Bridge said his death will leave "a huge void" in their lives.

Jan Kröll, 31, was visiting the area on a business trip from his home in Germany when it happened.

Lancashire Police said he was the father of two young children, a son aged two and a daughter aged five.

He worked for the German food firm Dr. Oetker.

It happened at shortly before 7pm on Wednesday, December 2, when he was jogging on the grass verge on Wigan Lane, near to the junction of Shady Lane.

It's believed he fell onto the carriageway where he was hit by an oncoming lorry.
