Blackburn rapist jailed for 15 years

A man from Blackburn who was convicted of raping two women has been jailed for 15 years.

David Walsh, of Railton Avenue, attacked a 20 year old at a property in Blackpool in 2014, following his trial a second victim, a 35 year old woman came forward to report she had been raped in Preston in 2012.

Walsh was today ordered to serve a minimum term of 11 years and will only be eligible for release if the parole board deems him to have shown remorse for his crimes.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.
