Former Coronation Street star Liz Dawn has come out of retirement for a cameo role in Emmerdale.
The veteran actress, who played Vera Duckworth for over thirty years, has been filming this week for an hour-long episode set to air on Christmas day.
She will play Mrs Winterbottom, a decidedly demanding guest staying at Eric Pollard’s B&B.
