Armistice Day: Our region remembers

Commemorations took place at Manchester's St Peters Square today as millions of people across Britain fell silent to mark Armistice Day and remember all those who have died in war.

Traffic came to standstill today as people paid tribute to the city's fallen

Nearly 27,000 casualties of World War One came from Manchester.

Preston remembered its fallen. Over two thousand people from the city were lost in the conflict which ended 97 years ago today.
