The Spiderman spotted in Cheshire

A village which is home to a host of Premier League football stars and Coronation Street actors thought it had a real vigilante superhero patrolling the streets.

Shoppers were left doing a double take when they spotted Spiderman walking up and down the high street, a favourite shopping haunt of Coleen Rooney.

One pedestrian said: "When I saw Spiderman I thought we have some real life heroes in Alderley Edge, now we've got a hero from the comic books."

It turned out that ‘Spidey’ was taking part in a Superhero Day at work and the masked comic book hero had decided to go for a walk on his morning break in his eye-catching costume.

Spiderman attracted the attention of passers-by as he walked through the upmarket village in his distinctive red and blue outfit teamed with matching trainers.

This summer it was announced that Brit actor Tom Holland will take over the coveted role of Spidey in the Marvel movie franchise from Andrew Garfield.
