Boxer Amir Khan wants to do more to aid refugees after trip to Greece

The Bolton boxer Amir Khan, who has been taking aid to refugees, says he wants to dedicate himself to charity work.

The 28-year-old world champion has been handing out food and other supplies to hundreds of refugees arriving on the island of Lesbos.

Khan says he was left was "incredibly moved" after the trip to Greece.

He plans to take up full-time work with his charity, the Amir Khan Foundation, when he retires from sport in a few years.

"After my boxing career ends, it is charity that I want to get into full-time," he told the Daily Star.

He also said he would be happy to offer some of the property he owns in the UK to displaced families.
