United's Luke Shaw thanks hospital staff as he prepares to return home
Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw has thanked hospital staff in Holland as he prepares to return home.
The England international suffered a double leg break in Tuesday's Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven and stayed on in the Dutch city for surgery.
He had been scheduled to undergo a second procedure at the St Anna Ziekenhuis hospital on Friday but will instead transfer to a hospital in Manchester for the completion of his treatment.
Shaw posted three pictures on Saturday morning of himself with hospital staff, accompanied by a note of thanks.
Shaw faces a recovery period of several months, with United manager Louis van Gaal suggesting the earliest he can expect to return is next March.
