Stage set for Liverpool International Music Festival
The stage is set for the return of the Liverpool International Music Festival this weekend.
The line up includes Basement Jaxx, Labrinth, Echo and the Bunnymen and Katy B.
The festival, now in its third year, aims to celebrate Liverpool's special place in the history of popular music.
This Bank Holiday weekend's Summer Jam at Sefton Park includes four areas of music:
Central Stage - the main stage featuring some of the world's coolest singers.
Its Liverpool Stage - described as the evolving sound of the city.
Academy - showcasing 20 of the region's hottest up-and-coming young acts.
Bandstand - a selection of folk, blues, roots, soul, and emerging acoustic (ish) talent
There are also events elsewhere in the city, including St George's Hall and the Epstein Theatre.
