Over the weekend Gerrard was unveiled to an adoring Galaxy crowd at the StubHub Centre and instantly ingratiated himself to the locals, who were celebrating Independence Day, by buying 500 bottles of beer for the supporters club.

In a message posted on the club's website Gerrard said:

Steven Gerrard was unveiled before the LA Galaxy fans on Independence Day but will his new adventure really be the American Dream?

The big question now is what will Gerrard's "American Dream" be like and how will he adapt to a place that's a long way from Liverpool? After all hehas spent his entire life building a career around the area he grew up so the move to Los Angeles is a big step for Gerrard and his family.
