After highs of 23c 73f in parts of the region (Manchester) on Saturday, it's all downhill on Sunday, with a cooler, more changeable new week in prospect.

Saturday evening and night:

Dry across the Granada region on Saturday evening with well broken cloud and some late sunshine for most places. Remaining generally dry overnight with lengthy clear periods developing. An odd shower may clip the Isle of Man. Light winds. Lows 12c 54f, not too cold, but not too close or muggy either.

Sunday:

Sunday morning will start mainly dry and fine with sunny spells. Maybe an odd shower around Irish Sea coastal areas, before showers push west to east later; some heavy and thundery. We have a different air mass on Sunday so the showers will be intense but not as heavy as they have been the last couple of days. Nevertheless, the showers will move through speedily and will band together. There is the potential for 5-8mm rainfall in places, 10-15mm across Cumbria and more prone spots. We start to see some clearance and improvement from the west from mid-afternoon onwards. Highs 22c 72f, slightly down on today's values.

The showers then clear during evening to leave a dry night.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Mostly dry to start Monday, but rain will spread in from the west later. Rain gradually clearing, leaving sunshine and sharp showers on Tuesday. Generally cloudy Wednesday with occasional showers.
