Oldham teacher inspires students and raises money for charity by running brutal North Pole Marathon
A teacher from Oldham has raised thousands for charity by tackling the gruelling North Pole Marathon.
Stephen Hill, who was recently made an MBE, inspires his students by taking on tough challenges around the world.
He's climbed Kilimanjaro, Mont Blanc, Everest and has trekked across the Sahara Desert and jungles of Borneo.
He said he had hoped to enjoy the final mile of the journey but it was one of the hardest of the lot:
For now though it's back to the classroom and an equally tough challenge of controlling a classroom full of Year Six pupils who say they think he needs to 'get a life'.
