Championship Fixtures: a few tasty Lancashire derbies to look forward to next season

The fixtures for the new Championship season have been released with 4 Lancashire clubs ready to battle their way to the Premier League.

Burnley who came down last season face a tough trip across the Pennines to Leeds United on the first day of the season.

Newly-promoted Preston on their return to the Championship have a home start against Middlesbrough.

Blackburn and Bolton both have plenty of Premier League history. They face off in the first Lancashire derby of the season at Ewood Park at the end of August Credit: PA Images

Blackburn Rovers host Wolves on the opening day while Bolton face Derby County at the Macron Stadium.

With four Lancashire teams in the division there are plenty of local derbies to look forward to over the season.

The first of the clashes between the sides is at the end of August at Ewood Park as Blackburn take on Bolton.
