Lotto winner returns to work to spread the good fortune

Sean Lloyd, Lottery winner, returned to work and helped out commuters.

A National Lottery millionaire from Tameside returned to work today to toast his 'lucky' profession.

Bus driver Sean Lloyd, from Ashton Under Lyne, quit his job on the day he won £1.8m in the Lotto last January.

He's one of 1,500 bus drivers who have won a major prize since the National Lottery was launched.

Sean put his win down to a lucky penny he found outside the shop just minutes before he bought his ticket.

And when he got back back behind the wheel for one special afternoon, he decided on a special surprise for commuters.

As well as paying for the fares for many bus users, he also gave each First Bus customer a lottery ticket – but not before it was rubbed with his magic penny.

According to the National Lottery, 'lucky' professions include builders, with 331 Lotto millionaires; there are also over 100 medical millionaires, including nurses, and over £840m has been paid out in major prizes to secretaries and administrators.
