Six men given life sentences for murder of Jon-Jo Highton and three men convicted of assisting offenders

Nine men have been sentenced to a total of 163 years for the murder of 18-year-old Jon-Jo Highton in Preston.

The teenager was stabbed on St Stephen's Road in Preston last August and died at the scene of serious knife injuries.

A post mortem examination showed that Jon-Jo had died as a result of a wound to the neck caused by some sort of blade, and had also sustained several other wounds to his face and body.

Six men who were found guilty his murder and three men who were found guilty of assisting an offender linked with the murder were all sentenced at Preston Crown Court today.
